História

This summer Hampton School is sending a rugby touring party to South Africa and I have been selected to be a part of the team going on this incredible trip.
As a group we understand how lucky we are to be part of such an amazing experience and so we are aiming to raise money to help support the funding of the trip, as well as donating 15% of all sponsorship money raised divided equally between two fantastic charities.
Matt Hampson Foundation aim to provide advice, support, relief and/or treatment for anyone suffering serious injury, or disability, which has arisen from any cause, but in particular from participation in or training for any sport, sporting activity or other form of physical education or recreation.
Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) has been working to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). CRY supports young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers bereavement support to families affected by YSCD. CRY promotes and develops heart screening programmes and funds medical research. CRY publishes and distributes medical information written by leading cardiologists for the general public. CRY funds specialist referral, screening and cardiac pathology services at leading UK hospitals.
In order to raise the money needed I, together with my team, am completing a sponsored physical challenge. Our aim is to run 10km and row 7km, in one afternoon. We will be running laps of a 1km course and rowing on ergo rowing machines, with the goal of completing the event in the shortest time possible.
